Case Scenario: George Clooney
Case Scenario Questions:
1) Who is the target audience for this product?
2) Who do you think is a good replacement for George Clooney, and why?
3) What could be an alternative approach to advertising this product?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfyeXrdZZ1o - This adverts target audience is people of 30+ age, and who are in the A1, B1 and C1 social grade, as many people view Nespresso as a high class coffee, because of the sophisticated location and the suave music that is playing in the background, which is then complete with George Clooney and the way he is sharply dressed.
I believe a good replacement for George Clooney is Tom Hardy, I believe this because he is very highly thought of as a Hollywood superstar and is held in high regards of the sophistication that he carries when he is on the red carpet. He is also known for his honest ways which make fans of both genders love him and believe what he says. As he is also very popular, he is very looked upon at the moment as one of the leading actors, as he is also British it helps for more of a connection to the UK public and can get it more popularized in the UK.
Another way of advertising is giving a more homely feel, by which I mean that the adverts will be more aimed towards the D and C2 social grades where they don't know about it or feel that it is to upper class for them to even think about having so they automatically cut themselves off from even trying to buy it as it is 'out of their pay grade'.
